Origin of LOTTE’s Name
The Sorrows of Young Werther was a German literary classic written by Johan Wolfgang Goethe in 1774. The main heroine was Charlotte who was admired and adored by all. LOTTE is the short form for Charlotte and was selected in 1948 as the company name to inspire similar love from its consumers.
